Created out of the improv stylings of Kolby Knickerbocker, Philip Amler and Jace Armstrong, Western Front is a television comedy set in California during the American Civil War. It is a character driven series that follows the interactions of a regiment of soldiers and nurses within a Californian battalion of the Union Army. Although the structure of the series and episodes is previously written, the content is largely improvised.
